Sarah Michelle Gellar has created a television icon with her portrayal of Buffy Summers. The

Emmy Award-winning actress is a veteran of television, theater and the big screen, having worked for nearly 19

of her 25 years. Sarah was born on the 14th of April, 1977, in New York City. After the 1984 divorce

of her parents, Sarah was raised by her mother, Rosellen in New AYork City. Sarah was 4 years old, after an agent

discovered her eating at a local restaurant, and from there her carrer took off. She is best known for playing the title role in

the hit series BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination in 2001, and many Teen Choice Awards.

Gellar’s TV hit came to an end in May of 2003 after 7 seasons. Sarah is now pursueing more in her movie career which has done nothing but good for her.
